GROWING IN CONTAINERS with MARTIN FISH

Martin Fish is a well known gardening expert.

Originally from Nottinghamshire Martin trained with the Municipal Parks in Nottingham. Fulfilling his ambition to work for himself Martin bought 6 acres of land in Nottinghamshire and started his own landscape, garden maintenance and nursery. Martin and his wife Jill moved to North Yorkshire where for five years he ran the award winning Harrogate Flower Shows.

Martin writes for The Garden, Gardener’s World Magazine, Kitchen Garden and Garden Answers.

Martin gave an excellent talk about growing all kinds of plants in all kinds of containers, all year round. From flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables and trees to pots, hanging baskets, mangers and barrels, Martin covered them all.

The talk concluded with Martin giving a short demonstration on planting up a spring seasonal pot.

It was a marvellous and very entertaining talk and very well attended by both members and visitors.
